Commits from 29 people and 55 releases in the week to 23 October 2026, with Elohim, AD4M and the Epistemic Resonance Protocol busiest and a breaking ValiChord release.

In the 7 days to 23 October 2026, 29 people made 1,154 commits, and 55 releases went out. The work concentrated in Elohim (192 commits), AD4M (181) and The Epistemic Resonance Protocol (130).
The week's releases put shared artifact distribution in focus. Lightningrod Labs says all 15 of its tools were upgraded to Holochain 0.7 and are now in the Moss 0.16 tool library. Emergence reuses one frozen happ across its webhapp releases, so installs stay on the same network. Builders distributing apps to multiple users can treat keeping those shared artifacts aligned as part of delivering a consistent network experience. The leads below cover what each change does for people who build on Holochain: a composer can check cited evidence before a write, AD4M's joins and creates return sooner, and ValiChord records are checked by every node.

@Mbd06b made 192 commits to Elohim, active on all 7 days

In the 7 days to 23 October 2026, @Mbd06b made 192 commits to Elohim, active 7 of 7 days. @solarpunked made 139 commits across Your Own AI, Flowsta Vault and Flowsta Private DNA, active 7 of 7 days. @HexaField made 126 commits to AD4M, also 7 of 7 days. @Geoking2104 made 114 commits to Filenymous and Autonymous.me, active 7 of 7 days, and @StateofIntent made 130 commits to The Epistemic Resonance Protocol, active 6 of 7 days.
From Friday 16 to Thursday 22 October, daily commits ranged from 105 on Thursday to 229 on Monday 19 October.

The Epistemic Resonance Protocol can now report which cited evidence has arrived

The Epistemic Resonance Protocol is a Holochain app for discussing and checking claims, linked into graphs of claims, critiques and evidence. StateofIntent merged pull request #292 on 19 October 2026. The new check asks, for each hash in order, whether the entry is present, using local databases only and no network call.
A composer holding 4 evidence hashes can show "3 of 4 have arrived" while the author is still typing. The agent SDK exposes the check before a write, and it serves autonomous agents, human-operated or AI.

AD4M lets creating and joining a shared space return before slow steps finish

AD4M is an agent-centric social network and interoperability dApp framework. HexaField merged pull request #1466 on 22 October 2026. On staging on 16 October, "Joining space" had spun for more than 20 seconds, and creating a neighbourhood hit the SDK's 30-second timeout. Loading a language now runs in the background, one install at a time, and a request that hangs ends at a 30-second timeout.

ValiChord v0.6.6 has every node check joining certificates, evidence and tiers

ValiChord is distributed integrity infrastructure for independent verification, recording results as tamper-evident Harmony Records. Its v0.6.6 release, published 18 October 2026, moves it to Holochain 0.7.1 and is a breaking release. Every node now checks the tier against the joining certificate that grants it.
The release needs a fresh install with no in-place upgrade, and records published on the 0.7.0 network will not resolve on it. Validator clients need no change.

Moss 0.16 test builds add LAN discovery that works without the bootstrap server

Moss 0.16.0-rc.2 (test 25), published 22 October 2026 as a pre-release, uses Holochain direct signals for peer status and paces pings for large groups. Its local-network discovery lets 2 machines on the same Wi-Fi or LAN connect even with the bootstrap server and relay unreachable. In the same week, OASIS Holochain hApp's HoloNET HyperNET build fixed a send that reached only one of several agents on the same conductor, so signals now go out one per recipient.

Presence 0.17.0 needs its group to upgrade together

Presence 0.17.0, a pre-release published 17 October 2026, runs on Holochain 0.7.1. It cannot see 0.16.x rooms or data, and 0.16.x and 0.17.0 agents cannot see each other, so a group moves to it at the same time.

Autonymous.me and Map Holons moved their code to newer Holochain versions

Autonymous.me, a self-sovereign identity protocol, moved Holochain from 0.4.1 to 0.6.1 and its JavaScript client from 0.17.0 to 0.20.0, observed on 21 October 2026. Map Holons, a storage and query layer for active holons, moved from Holochain 0.6 to 0.7, with 33 commits in the 7 days to that night.

Emergence and Acorn publish frozen happ releases

Emergence published happ-v0.7.0 on 17 October 2026, and Acorn published happ-v14.0.0 the same day, each with a frozen DNA.
For builders shipping to many users, the practical step is to keep the shared artifacts each release reuses aligned.
