What is Flowsta Agent Linking and what is it for?

Flowsta Agent Linking is a Holochain app-building library that lets an app link a user's app identity to their Flowsta identity. It exists so an app can verify that the two agent keys belong to the same person using signatures stored on that app's DHT.

Flowsta Agent Linking is a reusable pair of Holochain zomes for app builders who need to link agent identities across conductors. The project README describes it as a generic building block that can also be used beyond its Flowsta Vault integration.

In practical terms, an app asks the user's Flowsta Vault to sign a link between the Vault identity key and the app's agent key. The app stores the resulting two-signature attestation on its own DHT, where peers can verify that the keys are linked.

For example, a Holochain app can connect a user's app identity with their Flowsta Vault identity and look up that link from the app's DHT. The project documentation explains the integration flow and its example app calls.

How to get it

As a library

  1. Add the integrity and coordinator crates as Git dependencies from the project repository.
  2. Include their zomes in your Holochain app's DNA manifest.
